Seller Rules
Last updated: August 13, 2026 · Version 2026.08.13
Listing and fulfillment duties
Sellers must have the right to sell every item, describe condition, quantity, authenticity, and material defects accurately, use platform payment tools, preserve requested evidence, and fulfill or refund orders as required. Illegal, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, dangerous, or otherwise prohibited items may not be listed.
Payment and disputes
Marketplace funds may be held before release under UniConnect's buyer-protection process. When funds are released, UniConnect deducts a three percent marketplace seller fee from the sale price and sends the remaining proceeds to the seller's connected payout account. A timely dispute may pause release. Sellers must cooperate with evidence requests and must not evade fees, solicit off-platform payment, or misrepresent delivery. Review timeframes are service targets rather than guarantees.
Taxes
Sellers are responsible for taxes and reporting applicable to their circumstances. Gross payment reporting is not the same as taxable income. Gain on personal property may be taxable, while a loss on personal-use property is generally nondeductible. Business, inventory, and repeated-sale activity can be treated differently. UniConnect does not provide individual tax advice; sellers should consult a qualified adviser.
