Ride Cancellation and Refund Rules
Last updated: July 21, 2026 · Version 2026.07.21
Rider cancellation at least 24 hours before departure
UniConnect refunds the driver's expense reimbursement and retains the separately disclosed UniConnect service fee. A restored seat may be offered again. Payment-provider confirmation controls when the refund is final.
Late cancellation or rider no-show
If the driver confirms the independently planned trip occurred, no refund is due. If the driver confirms the trip did not occur, the driver reimbursement is refunded and the UniConnect service fee is retained. Conflicting evidence, abuse indicators, or missing trip status may be placed under review; review timeframes are targets rather than guarantees.
Driver, platform, or capacity cancellation
A driver cancellation, platform cancellation, or overcapacity failure receives a full refund, including the driver reimbursement and UniConnect service fee. UniConnect requests reversal of the connected-account transfer and refund of the application fee when applicable.
Processing and disputes
The local booking status does not itself prove that money moved. Refunds are final only after Stripe confirms them. Users may report a discrepancy through in-app support, and nothing in these rules limits nonwaivable legal or card-issuer rights.
